~Prologue~
Germany, 1944 – September 17
Everyone has a secret. A deadly one. One that could kill you in a second. Kill your family in a second. Kill your friends, your teachers, your neighbors, your city.
Well, that’s what the Nazis did to me.
No one’s left.
No. One.
I sit in an empty room. In an empty house. In an empty street. An empty city. An empty country. Nothing is left but dust and gunpowder.
I am haunted by day. I am hunted by night. But only in my dreams. Because there is no one left. The Nazis took the officials. And with them, hundreds of families. Millions of people. Billions of children and parents. I am left behind. To die a lonely death. Many would say it’s heaven. Others would say it’s a second death.
And me? For me, it’s a miracle from God. He knows I can’t die now. I still have to make a delivery. A special delivery. That will be my death wish.
