“Oof!” Scarlet pulled the dusty book off her chest. “Dream Visitors: The Guidelines and Who They Are.” she read, flipping open the heavy golden cover.
Chapter One: What Are Dream Visitors?
Dream visitors are humans with fairy blood. They tend to gain their power and ability around the age of ten, and are able to control people’s thoughts and dreams. Every so often, there is a nightdreamer, or someone who uses their ability to manipulate humans. The most common nightdreamer is under the current title of “Astaroth the Great” and can be found near the mountains of Sukuis.
You can spot a dream visitor quite easily. They tend to have slightly pointed ears, full lips, grace, beauty, and love to be outside. Dream visitors live in the Oak Forests – near the border of Canada – and almost all dream visitors are born and live within 12 miles of the forests.
Scarlet gaped. She really was a dream visitor. With her flaming red hair, deep green eyes, deep red lips, and flushed cheeks, she had the reputation of “Queen Scarlet III”. She didn’t have the clumsiness of her sister, and her mother liked to complain about how unnatural her ears looked. At age thirteen, she was the prettiest girl in the school. Her house was edged by the Oak Forests, and she spent most of her time there. What was she supposed to tell her parents?
